time(less)

The first in a series of exhibitions, time(less) used long exposure photography to highlight the effects of time blindness and ADHD. The work was featured in a solo exhibit in November of 2021 at the Division Avenue Arts Collective (DAAC) in Grand Rapids, MI.

Artifacts of Identity

Tintypes of the Modern Persona

Showcasing antique tintypes from the GVSU Art Gallery Collection along-side modern tintypes portraits by local Grand Rapids artist, Bud Kibby, the exhibit focused on how the advent of photography changed the perception of self. Kibby graduated with honors from the Kendall College of Art and Design in 2013 with a degree in photography. He is the owner and sole proprietor of TINYuproar Inc. and has remained active in the local community as both a professional photographer and artist.

Invisible Identities

Queer creators should be seen as multi-dimensional creators, affording them the same opportunity as their straight/cis counterparts. Each piece in the exhibit was selected with the understanding that queer artists are more than their queerness. Rather they are people with a wide scope of interests and struggles, living as fully realized individuals.
